ATTORNEY AMBER CARY FULMER
Amber is originally from Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina. She graduated from the University of South Carolina Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Minor in Business Administration. She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2011. While in law school, Amber was a member of the Mock Trial Bar and competed in Mock Trial competitions across the Southeast.
Amber is admitted to practice law in the State of South Carolina and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. Amber is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Lexington County Bar Association, and the South Carolina Association for Justice. She was recognized as Legal Elite in the area of Family Law for 2018, 2019 and 2020 by Columbia Business Monthly.
After law school, Amber was an Associate Attorney with the Moore Taylor Law Firm, P.A. in West Columbia, South Carolina from 2011-2020. While at the Moore Taylor Law Firm, Amber worked exclusively with the domestic law team. Amber’s entire practice is devoted to domestic law, and she also serves as a Guardian ad Litem in contested custody cases.
Amber has spoken at several National Business Institute Continuing Legal Education Seminars, has been a speaker at the Family Law Section of the South Carolina Association for Justice Annual Conference, and assisted with the “Alimony Update” for the South Carolina Bar “Hot Tips” Continuing Legal Education Program. Amber is a prior member of the Board of Directors for the Richland County Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (RCCASA). She also serves on the South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Board, South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Families Forever Committee, and the South Carolina Bar Children’s Law Committee. She is a 2019 graduate of the South Carolina Bar Leadership Academy. She also is one of the three founding members of Direct Examination: The South Carolina Lawyer Podcast, which was the first legal podcast in South Carolina.
Amber grew up in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina and graduated with Honors from Batesburg-Leesville High School. Amber is married to Austin Fulmer, and they have one daughter. In her spare time, Amber enjoys spending time with her Husband and daughter, cooking, reading, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time at her family’s summer home near Glacier National Park, Montana.
